Oh, why not...I figured I'd make a couple classic looking sidebar skins.

I made these without a mouseover effect, since I feel this only uses more memory and Windows sidebar is resource hungry enough.

Download the Windows Sidebar Styler application to apply these skins. [link] Once you have it installed, you simply double click open one of my two files to apply the skin. You can build your own sidebar skins with this application as well.
